May Update

Sadly I have been neglecting this blog as Facebook has taken over my work breaks. But not everyone who reads this is on Facebook and I am sorry to have abandoned you!
In May I have:
- Started biking to work (between 15 and20 km each way)(not this week - too much snow!)
- Hurt my right patellar tendon (sp?) with some short trail runs and have started physio
- Gotten my top two wisdom teeth out (iced, iced, and iced again! not much swelling at all)
- Had my first acupuncture treatment for my tendon
- Rode the Golden Triangle over the May long weekend (three cheers for Queen Victoria)
- Planted some seeds along the side of the house
- Read some books and gone to work.
Phew!
The most impressive to describe of this list is the Golden Triangle. It is a bike ride done by 100s of cyclists on the long weekend, up and over the continental divide. I will post the profiles of the hills soon. The weather is always bad, and we had some hypothermia from driving rain on the first day, sunny but hail on the second day, and snow/rain in the last 10 km of the third day. The good thing about cycling is that if you just keep your legs going around, you'll get up and over anything. It wasn't a speedy trip, but we had a great group and good times were had despite (or maybe because of) the weather.
For my next activity, Dana is going to teach me to golf at the driving range on Sunday! I guess I am getting older :)
