Onterrible ain't so bad

Friday May 1st saw the whole family headed for the airport - Jeff was off to Australia for work and Silas and I were off to Ontario for his first visit.
Silas and I found an excellent and inexpensive b&b in Toronto (just north of Trinity Bellwoods park) where we stayed until Monday, visiting Grandma Pfeiffer, Aunt Claire and attending our old friend Erinn's wedding. Then Tuesday to Thursday we went to McKellar to visit Nanny and Poppa Sears, Friday and Saturday in Guelph to visit Grampa Pfeiffer and Lynda, and are now back at the b&b getting our last sleep in before flying home tomorrow.

Silas is such a trooper!  He started to have a fever on the plane ride out east and it lasted all weekend, which had me so nervous.  But nothing came of it other than a little congestion and his eyes are a bit crusty from all the pollen.  And he was happy - through it all.  Up at McKellar, Silas transferred his cold to me and I had the fever for a couple days - let me tell you, I certainly wasn't happy and smiling through it all.  But, I am the mom, so I sucked it up and kept on trucking.  Now the fever is gone from both of us and I'm hoping and praying and dancing a special dance that we make it through our last airport foray without picking up anything else...  it all just makes you stronger, right?!

Here is a pic of Silas in the wagon at McKellar when the wind was up and the blackflies had moved on:
